How long can my juvenile crested gecko go without food?

I just got him a couple days ago i think he is only a couple months old and im not sure if hes eating, i cant stay up all night to monitor him and i dont want to try and feed him with a spoon or anything yet because i want him to get use to his new home first, plus i cant see his droppings because i gave him lots of hides. so will he be fine for a week or so before i can actually try and hand feed him? or what should i do? im trying to do my best for this little friend of mine.
