Windows 2000 migration to 2003 with 2008 R2 DCs?

Is it possible to migrate objects from a domain/forest with a forest and domain functional level of 2000 native to a new domain/forest which has a forest and domain functional level of Windows 2003 and managed by Windows 2008 R2 domain controllers only?
